Hi! I accidentally posted this question on a days old post (which I now realize was dumb of me). So I’m posting here on the most recent article!
Is it possible for my eyes to be neutral if it always changes with my surroundings? (I’m trying to determine if my eyes are colored or neutral.) For example, when I’m outside people always comment how green-y my eyes look due to the grass/trees. Last time I was in a log cabin, fellow campers pointed out how the wood walls brought out a “new” brown undertone in my eyes. I supposed a cross between brown & hazel is the best way to describe it? Thanks in advance!
If your eyes are looking green then they are a colour. If they are looking more brown then they are working as a neutral – so depending on what you’re wearing you may find they are more neutral or more coloured.
Thanks for your reply. I’ll play around with some more outfits to really figure this out. In the meantime, are there any examples (on this blog or Hollywood) with deeper brown-hazel-topaz eyes which are coloured eyes? I suspect that’s what going on here, that my eyes are saturated and deep-ish but a still coloured feature on me.
Actually Imogen, here’s a temporary link with a picture of my eyes- https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/10SD2ZOoItuCMGodJlf0d4hr-a4g-_cLx . Because they’re deeper I always assumed they were neutral. But the comments about them changing colors made me think twice. And I found your blogpost showing a “warm bronze brown eye” (insideoutstyleblog.com/2015/02/want-to-look-more-vibrant-discover-your-eye-enhancers.html) where I saw similarities in the undertone & eyeshadow color palette. I believe I’m also having difficulty locating what shade my eyes are on your greyscale chart, which is probably why I’m so confused. They’re not the darkest (shade 11), but they’re also darker than medium. Sorry if I sound like a complete amateur here! Thanks again for your help🙏🏽
