There was a discussion in my 7 Steps to Style program about finding a navy blazer to work with your colour palette and undertone – and what to look for particularly if you have warm colouring and don’t want to end up with too cool a navy that will wash you out.
You can read this post on how to distinguish the difference between warm and cool navy here.

Top Tips for Choosing The Best Navy
Dark navy works for dark hair but will be too heavy and overwhelming for those who have lighter hair – go for mid to light navy if you are lighter.
The more purple the blue – the cooler it is!
There are also brighter and more muted versions of every navy, so make sure the navy you choose intensity is in line with the intensity of the other colours in your palette.
