What I wore |
Saturday was an Association of Image Consultants International (AICI) education day in Melbourne. I love going to them as it’s always great to catch up with other image consultants who I don’t see too often. As we all work independently it can sometimes feel lonely, and it’s a great place to share ideas and talk shop (not like my friends want to have in depth discussions about what facial features work with a pixie haircut).
Some of the bits and pieces that we discussed that I thought I’d share with you were:
A jacket should button at your waist (that’s the narrowest part of your torso, not necessarily where your pants end). If it doesn’t fit there, it won’t look as great as it could. A shirt or blouse should have a button that sits at the closing point between your nipples, otherwise you’ll get gaping.
Sometimes it’s great to renovate your clothes, change the sleeves, try it on upside down, make a skirt a dress, there are all sorts of things you can do with your clothes to give them a new lease of life.
If you want to try on all sorts of hair and makeup styles without leaving your house, try www.TAAZ.com.
What I wore:
Purple dress from Verily
Cardigan from Nordstrom Rack
B-string – that’s the little bit of white cleavage coverage I’ve got going on. They’re a fabulous invention when you don’t want to, or it’s too hot to wear a cami under your clothes to cover up your cleavage.
You look lovely – great colours – and that B string is a clever idea!!
You look radiantly beautiful in blue, Imogen. Love your killer smile too 🙂
