Possibly there is another option to consider for making belt carriers. It would be to make a thread chain called a “swing tack” long enough to go around the belt, with a little extra room, to attach at the center back and sides of the garment and wherever else an anchor is needed. If you search “swing tack” on YouTube you can find tutorials. In some cases swing tacks might be a very satisfactory solution, and you can experiment with a needle and thread at home (or reward a sewing friend to do the job for you!).
