The Sublime Palette in the Absolute Colour System of 18 different colour directions is Soft, Light and Cool. It commonly works for people who would be categorised as Summers in the seasonal colour system. Medium-light to light hair, but neither very bright or muted in their colouring, just some softness.
Sublime patterns and value contrasts they work best for.
Great neutrals for the Sublime palette include all light greys, soft white, rose beige and lighter shades of navy.
And lastly some prints and patterns in the Sublime colours – what to look for and who suits each sort of pattern.
Remember, when shopping, don’t buy anything you don’t love just because the colour works – you want to have a combination of both colour and style and of course the garment must express your personality and style recipe too! If you want to figure out what all these are for you and find your authentic style – then join my 7 Steps to Style program (you’ll also discover your palette of colours too).
Am loving the “Getting to know your colour palette” series. Looking forward to seeing your post on the ‘Refined Palette’ Imogen, visuals are so helpful.
Loving this series!
It’s so helpful to actually see garments and have you explain why they work.
Looking forward to Serene.
Hi Imogen
I am in the Sublime Palette and I find it really difficult to find clothes for winter that work. The tendency seems to be darker colours at this time of year.
Any tips would be appreciated!
Thanks!
I see heaps of light sublime colours in winter in the stores – you just have to look for them! There are lots of light colours around – you just have to avoid the dark ones.
