It’s that time of year again – Christmas – for many of us – and this year we’re doing it a bit differently – in fact, I’m on a plane today going to Bali with my family for a 2 week holiday (first time in Bali for me, looking forward to discovering some new places). I’ve found a lovely dog-sitter to come and stay with Cleo so she’s not lonely while we’re away.
We celebrated Christmas a week ago as my parents were in town to watch my kids gymnastics display and I thought that it was just easier to have my side of the family over while they were here to celebrate. It’s actually a relief to have Christmas “done and dusted” no last-minute present shopping, and the stress of cooking up a Christmas lunch.
My husband’s side of the family are coming to Bali too – from the UK and Queensland – and I’m looking forward to some much-needed R&R after such a busy year. I will be happy to not have to taxi-drive my kids to activities for a few weeks and to spend some time reading and resting so I’ve got lots of energy to get back into it in the new year.
I hope you have a restful, safe and enjoyable festive season and look forward to connecting with you again in 2019.
Have a wonderful vacation. You deserve it, and thanks so much for all that you do!
Ruth
