Thank you for including the point that young women have a more difficult time looking sophisticated. It often feels like we more mature women are just thrown a list of things we can no longer carry off. It was refreshing to hear we do something better than the younger! 🙂
And I will add that I’ve never had more confidence in my sense of personal style than I do at this time in my life. And do you know you’ve had more influence on that than anything else? My style is my own, but the skills you have taught and continue to build on go with me every single time I go shopping and put outfits together!! Thank you!! xx
I will second that all of Julie! Thanks to Imogen, I now have a language to understand why a particular look hasn’t worked or won’t work for me. I have always liked shopping, now I love it! Thanks Imogen. xx
We knew what you meant, Minerva!…..Isn’t it so empowering to shop knowing why things work or don’t work?? It has made decision making so much quicker, too.
I used to think I was being fussy or difficult when I thought something didn’t suit me. Now I know why things don’t suit, I can confidently say so. Empowering indeed!
Hi Imogen
Following on from this video, please can you show some examples of florals on a polyvore. To explain the difference between small florals and stylized florals. Thanks

There are benefits to ageing Julie! And I love that you can get more outrageous as you age if you choose to do so!
Great point, Imogen!

Imogen, have you ever done a post on patterns which make older? I can’t really imagine which patterns make someone older and which ones younger.
Lee
Patterns are personality based. A comic type print will make you appear younger! Older people are best to avoid small florals.
Thanks. Do you mean by comic type print, prints e.g. with Mickey Mouse on it? This would be funny.

Imogen, great video! Can you please give an example of a stylized floral?
