A hat, added to my scarf of the day, always stretches me a bit.
Love choosing my outfit for the day. Have found lately that I am thinking about how to combine different patterns and prints. In the past I have usually only worn 1 print or patterned item so I am challenging myself – at the moment don’t have many prints and patterns because I usually wear black with colour or combine two colours. Always have to have jewellery or accessories – never leave home without earrings.
First of all, I must say that you both look terrific in this video. I love how each outfit and color captures your style and coloring. The statement Jill makes in choosing something a bit sensational instead of reaching for the tried and true really resonated with me. I tend to wear very basic clothing, which living in NYC, especially during this freezing winter, is dark and utilitarian.
This video has inspired me to choose items of clothing and accessories that will make me feel great for the day no matter what I am doing or where I am going. Thanks!!
Yes, you both look wonderful – creative, friendly, interesting and stylish! One of you mentioned starting with accessories, which is how I often begin. I love necklaces, earrings, scarves, shoes and have several little Japanese-style handbags (not practical for work but great for fun). So I’ll often start with an accessory because it seems less of a big commitment than choosing jacket/pants/top. And the day’s outfit starts from there. Multicoloured accessories help by making lots of different options possible too.
Thanks so much for these videos, they’re enjoyable as well as practical.
Thanks Robyn! We love making them too. I love that you dress from an accessory.
