You may have noticed that I wore a scarf as a shrug on Melbourne Cup Day, and one of my lovely readers asked me to show how I made it.
Luckily it’s very simple! There are two ways of doing it – the non-sew and the sew options.
If you’re not a sewer or don’t want to permanently change your scarf, all you have to do is to fold the scarf in half lengthwise then tie knots in each corner, the holes then become sleeves.
If you’re happy to turn your scarf into a shrug permanently, you can just sew a straight line up the edges, leaving a hole big enough for your arms as I did.
For the scarf turned into a shrug, what size is the scarf? i was going to buy fabric to do this and just wondered how much I should get.
thanks.

I need to do this for a dance program in two days. I DO NOT want my arms to show. Can you help??
It only take a few minutes to do this alteration.
