Have you got into a bit of a style rut? Would you like to develop a fabulous sense of style? To get you out of your current style habits take the FABruary Style Challenge – running all February.
Each day use this guide as an inspiration to wear your clothes in a new way, add an accessory or mix items up into new combinations. Sometimes it’ll work, sometimes it may not so well but it’s all about moving away from what you always do and trying something new.
Then it’s time to share. Share on your blog, on Instagram, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest or Twitter with #FabStyle @ImogenLamport .
If you’re stuck for inspiration I’ll be sharing some tips and ideas to help you along throughout February.
Each week of the challenge I’ll be sharing your blog posts of your FABruary style in a round up post so you can be inspired to start off 2013 with renewed enthusiasm and ideas to make your style the best it’s ever been.
Will you be joining me for the FABruary Style Challenge?
Each from the 1st to the 28th there is a daily theme to follow, buy it’s purely there as a inspirational idea for you to jump off with your fabulous style.
What a great idea, of course I want to nick it lol…:)
Of course you can join in and share Jane! Love to see how you interpret the suggestions.
Ooooo that is a GREAT idea I am IN!
RX
Fabulous Renee! Looking forward to seeing your interpretations!
Love the idea Imogen, and I might even participate, although I dont wear red lipstick, but could wear a reddy pink for Day 7 instead or change it to nail polish! But Im sure seeing others branch out in their style will be interesting!
Joanne – you’d be aware that there are many shades of red, some of which are not bright or overwhelming. But this challenge is also about getting you out of your comfort zone, and maybe just try something different for a day and see how it feels. You may be surprised!
Ooh, count me in!
I was planning on doing a daily OOTD post during Feb, and this sounds really fun!
Fabulous -great that you can join in!
This will be so much fun!
I’ve just created a blog:
http://susiesfabruary.blogspot.co.uk/
but I am a bit technologically challenged at times. What do I do now? How do I share this with #FabStyle @ImogenLamport ?
Hi Susie.
The easiest thing to do would be to sign up for a Twitter account, then you can just link back to your blog posts via Twitter. I’ve added you to my bloglist in Google Reader, so look forward to seeing your posts 🙂
Thanks v much for your reply!
I now realise that #FabStyle @ImogenLamport is for twitter! From what I’ve seen above, people just expressed interest and linked their blog, which could perhaps be enough. But I could create a twitter account. Then again, seeing how I’m planning to be posting to my blog every day, it’d just be an additional thing to do (to do the same on twitter), so hope that providing the name of my blog is actually all we need.
Susies – Yes the link is for twitter or instagram or pinterest (well the @ImogenLamport part will work on those social media sites) and so I can search on it. If you’re just going to post on your blog – then let me know the name of your blog so that I can check it out!
I see, thank you.
I created a blog last week, specifically for this purpose :),
here is the link:
http://susiesfabruary.blogspot.co.uk/
and I am hoping to be posting every day in February (although there will be real challenges, e.g. the red lipstick).
(PS now my comment automatically attaches my blog I hope)
Thanks for sharing this tip – I look forward to seeing your efforts too!
I love this Imogen, what a fantastic way to challenge the status quo.
Looking forward to it 🙂
I do love a challenge, so I will definitely give this a go! I will also post about my attempts, whether successful or not, on my blog. I am looking forward to seeing other people’s interpretations too.
Sue – can’t wait to see your interpretations!
Ok, this is a great challenge for me. As I am in Weight Watchers right now and am slowly losing weight, I only have about 2 pairs of pants and around 4-5 shirts that I wear over and over again. I keep thinking about playing around with accessories, but haven’t really tried yet. I am ready for this challenge. Maybe it will change my look up a little bit. Do we have to post every day or can we do a weekly post? I may do a daily on Instagram and weekly post on the blog. I am @redcurls3 on Instagram and I’m already doing a photo a day for @ProjectLife365. Hey, they may even overlap sometimes. That would be cool!
Franny – you can post as often as you like – from daily to weekly – You can just post a pic on Instagram a day then a weekly wrap – which ever suits you! I look forward to seeing your efforts!
Love this idea! I am going to do my best considering I work for my family’s restaurants it may be hard to hit them all, but what a fab concept!!! Love it!!!
xo
Such a fun idea… I’ll try to stick to you suggestions as much as I can!
Oh, what a fun idea! I’m definitely gonna join, even though I might find some days a bit hard. 😀
That’s OK Micci – just do the best you can!
Great idea. Count me in 🙂
Michelle – I look forward to your efforts
This is going to be fun!! I’m definitely in. Especially since I can’t clothes shop for a while (hubby in grad school = living on student loans = TIGHT budget!) Challenges like this will help me rethink what I have in my closet.
Jesslyn – great that you’re joining us!
Hi, do you have a facebook account – I could do an album visible to you only? I do not want to be posting loads of pictures of clothes, however I’m keen to explore this & am very happy to share the results with like-minded people – i think it will be a very positive experience.
Do you have Springpad? I could do a book on there.
Thanks!
Yes I have a Facebook.com/bespokeimage
Ooh! Sounds like fun. Count me in. 🙂
My brain is already getting busy working on potential outfits…
Hi! =) I feel I arrive quite late but I definetely want to give Fabruary a try. I’ll do my best haha! I’m excited!! ^^
xo
Never too late! Looking forward to your participation
I would love to print this list out and stick it in my wardrobe for easy reference daily – is there somehow to do that?
you can right click and save the picture and then paste it in word document and print it out.
