I’m really excited that I’ve just finished working on a new book that I’ve co-written with Jill Chivers of 16 Style Types called Svelte in Style: How to Look and Feel Great While Losing Weight.
Our publication date for this ebook is 24 July, but you can find out more about it now! We will be giving you a discount for a short time on publication, if you want to know more about that and make sure you get it you can sign up for my newsletter just over there on the right hand side of this page (and also grab your free ebook).
We wrote the book because we’d both been asked by many women about how to manage the period stylishly as you’re losing weight. Many women who have been overweight for some time feel they’ve lost their style mojo and want some help, without spending a fortune.
Jill and I realised that looking good is only part of the equation, you also need to feel great, so we’re also focusing on some of the emotional aspects of weight loss and how to put yourself into the best position mentally.
There is so much information about how to lose weight, but very little about how to look and feel good as you’re doing it. So we hope that this book will help many of you as you proceed along your weight loss journey.
Give the discount for the whole July, please – I will come home from vacation on 28 July and I would be very sad if I had to pay the normal price.
Thank you both so much for this! I lost about 40 pounds this past year (again!) –and as you can imagine, my clothes started to fall off of me. But, as I had at least forty more pounds yet to go, I wasn’t sure what to buy –nor where to look! (I was in that spot where I was too big for regular sizes and too small for plus shops). I also have no budget for clothes (I am a sahm). I’m sure my discomfort and unhappiness with the whole situation has contributed to the 20 or so pounds I’ve gained back in the past couple of months. I want to reverse this before I get back to the misery of where I started–but I know that this weird place I get to–this odd place (where I have been before) where nothing really fits and I don’t know what to look for and where to look and how to dress this very different body –and doing it for next to nothing–is a challenge I have to conquer or the weight won’t ever come off past that 40 lb loss. Am I making sense? I am hoping your e-book will help me! You are both such smart and compassionate ladies that I’m sure it will.
I think everyone nowadays are being beautiful in their own way, not so good looking people can also look good by being unique..
Julia – that is true – it’s important to find what is unique and beautiful about you – nobody needs to be a fashion clone
As soon as I saw the title, I thought “Why hasn’t someone thought of this before?” Well done, ladies, this book definitely deserves to be a success!
Thanks Sue!
We hope that lots of others find it useful too!
Awesome idea. I was wondering if you could offer some help on dressing a flat bottom. I have also just lost 15 lbs and have purchased 2 pair of smaller summer slacks and they both bag in the bottom. I try to wear skirts but feel much more relaxed in slacks. I have very thin limbs and carry my weight in my bust and high hip.
Love your blog. 🙂
