After 12 days lost in the bush around Canberra, without food, Cleo finally came home today and settled immediately back onto the couch, her favourite place to view the world from. Â She’s emaciated and covered in small cuts and grazes, and the pads of her paws have started to peel off from constant movement. Â We have an appointment booked with the vet tomorrow. Â You can see her here in this short video.
I’ll confess there were a few tears in my eyes at the end of the video. 🙂 So glad she’s home safe and sound, with food in her dish and a couch to perch on.
Thanks Pneu – I have shed many tears this past couple of weeks myself!
Bless her heart! Cleo must be so relieved to be back home with you and her home comforts. I hope she soon recovers from her ordeal.
Ah, she’s beautiful. So glad you’re reunited, and I hope she recovers quickly.
So happy to hear that she made it home! She looks so relieved to be back on the couch! I hope everything goes well at the Vet.
HUZZAH!
I am so happy for you; what a wonderful ending to this story!
So pleased for you and your family and especially for Cleo. She looks like she has had a rough time, but I’m sure you will all do your best to nurse her back to health and show her just how much she was missed.
Wonderful news.
So many stories like Cleo’s end in tragedy; it such a joy to read that you found her! What a beautiful face she has, too.
Blessings to your lovely sweet dog. I am so glad she made it home safe. I have been thinking about you both these past two weeks.
I am so glad for you! I know how anxious I’ve been when my cats have gone AWOL, so I can imagine the relief you must be feeling at Cleo’s return.
Oh she’s a darling! Imogen I am so happy that she’s back home where she belongs! (we hope to adopt our won whippet sometime later this year)
She’s got such a sweet face!
Oh, I am SO glad that she came home safely. What a relief! Best wishes for her speedy recovery.
