2. Be Bold with Colour
Get out of the neutral lane and play with colour.
You can mix different colours together or go monochromatic using just one colour at a time.
Look at nature for inspiring colour schemes to copy.

Brilliant!
Thanks Lisa – that means a lot from you!
That black and white bolero is gorgeous. I am wondering if I can play with some little lace shawls I forgot I owned in a similar fashion. Love that hero piece! Thanks for the inspiration 🙂
Thanks for linking up to Top of the World Style. I love the blue dress.
Thanks so much Nicole!
I think my favorite is “Wear a Hero!” Well, for one that outfit just is amazing. The top is so cool. Plus, I love just highlighting really cool art/pictures/graphic tees. Sometimes I feel when our clothing says something it must be important. When our clothing says something it’s saying something about ourselves. I’m getting overly philosophical, but it’s just my two bits. Maybe that’s why I love graphic tees so much. Hahah, I don’t know.
Imogen, thanks so much for linking up to my Style Story Link Up. It’s a pleasure to meet you here. I’ll be back!
Love,

Thanks so much Ann – I love that Picasso piece – I found it in a consignment store – it’s vintage and so unique. So what does it say about me?
Hi Imogen,
This is a great post and a lovely website. I try to integrate all of your tips into my own style on a regular basis. Thanks for sharing your style point of view on the My Refined Style Linkup!
