what to wear with biscay bay

One of my favourite colours of 2015 is Pantone’s Biscay Bay. Why? Well it’s just such a versatile colour.

It’s a mix between teal and turquoise, which are both universal colours so can be worn by everyone well! Because it has elements of both warm and cool it can be mixed well with both warm and cool colours.

  • Love that colour – by coincidence it’s one of the main colours I’m taking on my overseas trip in June. Found some fabric in it and then a piece of Italian stretch cotton in taupe which featured it and some burnt orange in a splash pattern that I used to match with the travel clothes. It’s looking good – you’re right, it goes with several colours and flatters many.

  • I’ve had this colour in my swatch since the 80s when I had mine done. I’m autumn and I’ve always been a bit afraid of it. Didn’t want to choose a cold instead of warm. It interesting to read this colour is both warm and cold. I will look out for it (in tassy – but do sew, so can watch fabric shops)
Can I please ask what is Pantone? Is that a brand, or a shade? Excuse my ignorance

I just love reading your info – soon 60 & not long ago learned I’m an H – so helpful ! Xx

  • Hi, I love that top! I checked but they don’t have my size. What do you call that style top?I’ve been searching for tops with shoulder gathering with out luck. I’m a pear shape so it would really suit me.
    Thanks Hannah

  • I guess I don’t know about universal colors yet. I know I look ok in teal, but didn’t know that turquoise was also “universal.” I usually think think of turquoise as being best for blondes or someone with turquoise eyes.
