Winner of Silver Bear Grand Jury Prize at Berlinale 2014

From writer and director Wes Anderson comes the acclaimed new comedy: THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL.

The film recounts the adventures of Gustave H (Ralph Fiennes), a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars – and Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend. The story involves the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting and the battle for an enormous family fortune — all against the back-drop of a suddenly and dramatically changing Continent.

Hailed as Wes Anderson’s best film and one of the best and funniest films of the year, THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL stars an incredible ensemble cast including Ralph Fiennes, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Jeff Goldblum, Tom Wilkinson, Jude Law, Harvey Keitel, Saoirse Ronan, Tilda Swinton and hits cinemas on April 10.

For your chance to win one of my 4  in-season double passes, leave a comment here telling me why you deserve to win tickets!

Competition closes 5pmAEST on 8 April 2014 and is open to Australian residents only.

  • Hello Imogen! I am a regular reader of your stylish blog, and I would be thrilled to win passes to The Grand Budapest Hotel. Why, you might ask? THE CLOTHES! Wes Anderson’s films are ripe with fashionable ideas for wardrobe inspiration, and the quirky plot lines combined with a stellar cast never fail to entertain. I hope that you will choose me, but best wishes to whoever the lucky winners might be!

  • Wes Anderson speaks to my soul and allows me to escape to worlds with people & characters of my dreams. What I would give to find a piece of the Darjeeling luggage or camp at Moonlight Kingdom!
Wes makes you feel that the people and life you dream of is possible.

  • Ola Imogen. I deserve to win as much as anybody else because I love my movies and I love Wes Anderson and I love the trailer and I love the casts (OMG! Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swinton, Jude Law, Adrien Brody, many more!) I’ll be honest, I have only known your website by accident and I am loving the tips on the “Face Shapes” section!

  • Hi there Imogen,

Wes Anderson directed films have a special place in my wife and my selves heart as we saw The Royal Tenenbaums on our very first date. Would love to take her along to his new flick, it looks amazing!

    🙂

  • I was meant to see this film at the Moonlight Cinemas in Perth. We had free tickets, but as it was an advanced screening we weren’t allowed to use them. Would winning these be kharmic justice? Yes, yes it would.

    • Hey Benjamin,

There is a screening scheduled for Sunday, April 6 at the Bamboo outdoor cinema at Highgate. It is BYO picnic or buy their woodfired pizzas, live jazz, & lush cocktails. Otherwise the Ace cinemas are having special “previews” with morning tea this next week in Midland or Rockingham. We can’t wait to see this! Darjeeling Express is still one of our faves from the Moonlight cinema. Cheers, Debra

  • I would love to win these tickets as my husband and I have only been on two ‘dates’ since our second child was born, and he’s about to turn two in June!! Plus movies set in beautiful European cities are always so appealing.

  • As equally deserving as the other entrants, I deserve to win the tickets because I need a time out after two years of social life being lost thanks to work (and yes, I am going to start to tone it down from now on). I haven’t been to the movies for ages and the other day I saw the ads for this movie on the net by accident (whilst I was actually doing my work) and I was mesmerized. And then pops out the name “Wes Anderson” and that even made me want to see it even more. Ever since “The Darjeeling Limited” which reminded me very much of home in India, I fell in love with his work. What a pure art genius!

  • Because, after seeing his sterling work in “The English Patient,” I became such the admirer of Ralph Fiennes’ acting abilities to the point that I felt compelled to change my name to Ralph, in the hope of seizing just a smidge of his on-screen charisma.
The dutiful fan is a role I fully embody, with utmost contentment.

  • hi there, actually not for me…but for some amazing friends who have a baby with severe cerebral palsy. She blogs on their journey and last week’s one was about her ”once upon a time” life of wearing nice clothes and going on dates with her husband. I would LOVE to be able to win these for them.
