Love this post by Sal at Already Pretty about how manufacturers constantly try and find flaws that don’t exist to sell us unnecessary stuff.
I’m mad keen on the crossover between our identity and our personal style and Une Femme has written a great post on this topic.
Ever thought about having breast reduction surgery? Here is a post on one woman’s experience over at Hourglassy.
Thanks so much for the link, Imogen. I’ll be posting more on this soon.
Hi Imogen
I have never owned a pair of knee high boots – i think i must be one of the only people i know who hasn’t! but a stylist i saw a few eyars ago said people with an A shaped or peared shaped figure (which is me) shouldn’t wear them because it draws the eye down to the bottom half of the body, when you should be trying to draw the eye up to the top half. i would love to get some boots but don’t want to waste my money! what are your thoughts on this?
thanks
Knee high boots are fabulous and I don’t agree with that stylist at all! In fact, if the boot (say black for example) is tone with black opaque tights and a black or dark skirt it will make you look longer and leaner. The only time that boots will draw attention to your bottom half is if they are lighter or brighter than the rest of what you’re wearing on your bottom half.
thanks Imogen – i was really hoping you would say something like that!! i might give them a go!
A forum! How exciting!!!
