Bargains By Email

Do you subscribe to any email service that sends you lists of where the bargains can be found, either online or locally to you?

I have to admit to being a bargain lover – why pay full price when someone will sell it cheaper somewhere (unless of course it’s a handmade item or one off, which is a whole different story).

If you’re interested in finding out more about these services, have a look at these websites.

  • There are local websites (on-line ) here too, but I wouldn´t say that you can get bargains there. After ordering something from places like net-a-porter, luisaviaroma, mytheresa ( many times having to send stuff back ), I do receive e-mails announcing sales, etc. I am somewhat uncertain about shopping from places I don´t know well.

  • Yoox is big here in the US and Canada as well. Also, Ideeli.com. This one is particularly interesting as you can pay a small amount every month to be in the "front row" and get to shop one hour before the rest.
I shop Gilt all the time. My Habitual jeans are $48 when they come up on sale, instead of over $200! The service is amazing.

  • I'm frustrated that Gilt don't ship to Australia – my favourite AG jeans are an absolute steal when they have them on sale … I got bargain jeans on cocolee.com.au. Frockshop.com.au sometimes has good stuff, but not that many good prices. And I'm addicted to shopbop – their 70% off is a great place to find things I couldn't possibly afford at full price …

  • Tiffany -there are forwarding agents you can use – or do you have a friend over in the States who you could have it shipped to them and they post it onto you?
